Gilbert Arenas is a punk
Gilbert Arenas played 13 games in the 2007-08 season and is currently sidelined after having another knee operation. Arenas signed a 9-figure contract in the off-season.
The Washington Wizards are already 1-9 early in the season and have the worst record in the Eastern Conference. So, time to pack it in?

"I don't want to see them struggle," Arenas said Thursday at Madame Tussauds, where his wax figure was unveiled, "but if this is one of those years where we don't make the playoffs or we finish in last place ... that's what happened to San Antonio and that's how they got Tim Duncan and look at them now ... and that's for the better."To even mention the possibility in November makes me sick. I'm a Sixers fan and generally fine with the Wizards not making the playoffs. But when your franchise player (at least according to salary/contract) starts talking about high draft picks in November, I've got some serious issues with that.
"I definitely want to wait until after New Year's. ... It will give me time to get in shape. Plus I want to learn the new playbook," he added.Instead of talking, he should be working his ass off to get back on the court and help a franchise that has other All-Stars in Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison. Butler and Jamison are averaging 20.8 and 18.6 ppg, respectively, this season.
"The old me would have already been playing by now. Getting older I start thinking smarter and everything is going well," he said. "Right now we are just playing the waiting game."
