Ginobili wants to get back on the floor

Spurs guard Manu Ginobili hasn't played since February 11th, when he scored 32 points in 33 minutes against the Toronto Raptors. He has a stress reaction in his right ankle.

But Ginobili is becoming antsy and wants to get back on the court. However, Coach Greg Popovich is taking it slow.
I'm already asking for permission to do more,” said Ginobili. “But you know how it works.”

“He talked to me a little bit about where he is and what he'd like to do and what the plan might be for him as we finish out the season,” Popovich said. “We'll just try to make an intelligent decision so that we have him for the playoffs at 100 percent.”
Pop says that Manu "hasn't had any setbacks" and that he'll be back "within the next week or so."

Ginobili is averaging 16.1 ppg, 4.7 rpg and 3.5 apg. He is leading the team in steals with 1.5 spg.
