Seth Curry to transfer to Duke
Seth Curry, who recently announced his decision to leave Liberty, will transfer to Duke. Based on transfer rules, Curry will sit out next season and have three years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2010-2011 season.
Curry led freshmen in scoring with an average of 20.2 points per game. However, he sought the opportunity to play against greater competition. He also won the Big South player of the year award.
"Coach K kept telling him the timing couldn't be better," said Curry's father, who spent most of his 16 NBA seasons with the Charlotte Hornets. "There'll be plenty of opportunities to contribute."Guards Gerald Henderson and Jon Scheyer will be seniors next year for Duke.
