Leon Powe done for year
The Boston Celtics have lost another forward for the post-season. Leon Powe tore his ACL and the meniscus in his left knee in last night's victory over the Chicago Bulls.
It is estimated that it will take between six to eight months for Powe to rehab, which means the start of the 2009-2010 season is in jeopardy.
"He's devastated. He worked so hard, especially coming back from his recent injury and in establishing himself as a player in this league. He is taking the news hard, but he is a good kid, and he knows he'll be back at it soon," Powe's agent, Aaron Goodwin, told ESPN.com's Chris Sheridan.Losing Kevin Garnett for the playoffs is an obviously more devastating loss, but this injury further weakens the Celtics' depth.
