Thaddeus Young may return tonight vs Celtics

The Philadelphia 76ers have played their last seven games without Thaddeus Young, who's averaging 15.2 points per game this season. During that span, the Sixers are 2-5 and currently on a five-game losing streak.

Their final two games are against the top two seeds in the Eastern Conference - Boston at home tonight and in Cleveland tomorrow night.

Young, who played 30 minutes of 3-on-3 yesterday, says that he might play tonight against the Celtics.
"I'm hoping so," Young said. "We'll talk to the trainer and go from there. . . . I'm a little out of shape, but I still can play right now. . . . No pain at all, so that's the good thing."

"We'll see how he feels," Sixers coach Tony DiLeo said. "We don't want to jump to conclusions. See how he feels after this workout."
As the seventh seed (currently), the Sixers would face the Celtics in the first-round of the playoffs. However, they trail the Chicago Bulls by only a half-game for the sixth seed.

If Young doesn't play tonight and/or tomorrow night, the good news for the Sixers is he will be back for the playoffs.
