LeBron James wins league MVP
King LeBron is now King MVP.
Cleveland Cavaliers small forward LeBron James won the NBA Most Valuable Player Award by a landslide margin over Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant and Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade.
James finished with 109 first-place votes (out of 121 possible). Bryant finished second overall and had two first-place votes. Although Wade finished third, he had seven first-place votes.
He averaged 28.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game. No other player averaged 20+ points, 7+ rebounds and 7+ assists this season.

"I'm 24 years old and I'm receiving this award, I never thought it would happen this fast," James said. "I never dreamed about being MVP, but if I said I didn't enjoy this award I'd be lying to you. Hard work pays off and dreams do come true."James led the Cavs to the most wins (66) in the NBA this season and won four NBA Player of the Month awards.
"I still I have a lot of things I want to do this season," James said. "I want to have another celebration in June."
