Cristal Taylor, or whatever she calls herself these days, claims that she is pregnant with Dirk Nowitzki's child, according to Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News.

The Mavericks forward's ex-girlfriend was arrested at his home roughly two weeks ago on two warrants for violation of probation for felony forgery and stealing and a felony theft charge.

"I've known Dirk for seven years – and, no, I didn't tell him everything about my past because I was afraid," Taylor said during a series of phone calls in which she sobbed frequently. "But, I mean, now I'm pregnant and alone and broke because he is my only source of income."

Not surprisingly, her motive for talking the Dallas Morning News now is her hope that he'll contact her. Taylor tells DMN that she and Nowitzki have not been in contact since she's been arrested.

"I'm actually hoping that Dirk will step forward and help, once he reads the article," she said.

Taylor claims that she met Nowitzki after she thought she dialed her brother and Nowitzki answered.

As someone born and raised in the Northeast, perhaps it's in my DNA to be skeptical, but who actually meets like that? Especially famous athletes?

Fast forward seven years and Taylor says that although she is "broke and alone," she is not after his money and would sign a "prenup."

"I was not having a pattern of anything, except that I came into the relationship with love. I was about to sign, and would still sign, a prenup that says I get absolutely nothing, and any future children get none of Dirk's money. We get zero. Nothing."

Tough break for Dirk if she is really pregnant. As one of the commenters to the DMN article said, Taylor looks like a "cave woman." I guess it's a tougher break for the kid if (s)he looks half like Dirk and half like Taylor.
