Odds on next Sixers' coach?
Kate Fagan of the Philadelphia Inquirer has set the odds for the selection of the next Philadelphia 76ers coach.
While Tony DiLeo did an admirable job as "interim" coach, support for DiLeo has been lukewarm at best.
Fagan considers Doug Collins to be the favorite for the job at 5-1. The former Sixers' player would receive the support of the Sixers' players, but it will likely require a large, multi-year contract.
Fagan set the odds for other options, as follows:

Eddie Jordan: 6-1If GM Ed Stefanski decides not to remove the "interim" tag from DiLeo's title, I think Avery Johnson, Tom Thibodeau or Jeff Van Gundy would make sense. All three are good defensive coaches (and the Sixers are a defensive-minded team) and will command the respect of the Sixers' players.
Avery Johnson: 8-1
Tom Thibodeau: 12-1
Tony DiLeo: 15-1
Jeff Van Gundy: 25-1
Chris Ford: 30-1
Jay Wright: 100-1
