Tinsley being sued by equipment manager

Per Jon Murray of the Indianapolis Star, Joey Qatato, the Pacers' equipment manager, is suing guard Jamaal Tinsley and the driver (Mitchell H. Smith) of Tinsley's Rolls Royce.

In 2007, Tinsley was being harrassed about his "flashy cars and wealth" at a club and two vehicles chased Tinsley's Rolls Royce as well as two other cars that Tinsley owned to the Conrad Hotel in downtown Indy.

When the gunmen opened fire outside of the hotel, Qatato was stuck in the back of the Rolls Royce since the back doors could only be unlocked by the driver. Qatato, who was shot in the elbows, claims that Tinsley and the driver ignored him with an every-man-for-himself attitude as they fled inside the hotel.
"They knew he was back there," said Greg Hahn, one of Qatato's attorneys. "It was basically every man for himself. He was banging on the door. . . . It's a miracle he didn't get killed."
Qatato still works for the Pacers and Tinsley still has two years left on his contract although he hasn't played since February 5th, 2008.
