Ty Lawson hires agent
North Carolina point guard Ty Lawson has ended any chance of returning to college for his senior season by hiring agent Jeff Fried. Fried has represented other point guards, such as Stevie "Franchise" Francis and Monta Ellis.
Underclassmen who declare themselves eligible for the draft yet don't hire an agent can renounce their draft eligibility by June 15th and return to school.
Lawson led the Tar Heels to a national championship over Michigan State and set a record for steals in a championship game with eight.
On the season, Lawson averaged 16.6 points and 6.6 assists per game while winning the ACC Player of the Year award.
