McHale out in Minnesota

Although there was an official press conference today, Timberwolves rookie Kevin Love let the cat out of the bag through his Twitter account.

He tweeted, "Today is a sad day...Kevin McHale will NOT be back as head coach next season." He followed up with "P.S. I am not a breaking news guy...I had no idea no one knew..I'll tell them I stayed at a holiday inn express last night. Always works...."

In the press conference, T'Wolves President of Basketball Operations David Kahn said: "This is a great man who did some great things here. Some really remarkable things here. And he deserves to be treated with respect."

Kahn has no idea who will be the next Timberwolves coach with the exception that it won't be McHale.

"I have no candidates," he said. "Not lined up on the back of a napkin. Nothing. We will put a list together immediately after the draft and start a search. I think we will have a pretty robust list."
