Wizards trade fifth pick for Foye, Miller
The Washington Wizards have traded the number five pick in Thursday's NBA draft and will get Randy Foye and Mike Miller in return from the Minnesota Timberwolves.
In addition to the fifth pick, the T'Wolves get forwards Etan Thomas, Darius Songaila and Oleksiy Pecherov from Washington.
The Timberwolves now hold the fifth and sixth pick in this year's draft. In addition to their two top ten picks, they hold the 18th and 28th picks in the first round as well.
Foye averaged 16.3 points and 4.3 assists last year for Minnesota while Miller averaged a career-low 9.9 points per game.
With four first-round picks, there's a good chance that the Timberwolves will try to trade up. In either case, the Wolves should set themselves up nicely for the future with Al Jefferson, Kevin Love, Ryan Gomes and all of those first-round picks.
